MySQL Database Wizard can be used to set up MySQL database, create database user and assign needed privileges. <\/em>A MySQL Databases allow you to store lots of information in an easy to access manner.<\/p>\n

1) Click on the “MySQL database Wizard” button on the home page under Databases.<\/strong><\/p>\n

2) To set up a MySQL database,<\/strong><\/p>\n

a) Enter a name for the database in the text box ” New Database”<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

b) Click the button “Next Step”.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

3) On Next step Create user , who have access to the new database.<\/strong><\/p>\n

a) Enter a name for the user allowed to manage the database in the text box “Username”<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

b) Enter a strong password for the user to login or use “Password Generator”<\/strong><\/em> to generate a strong password.<\/p>\n

c) Click ” Create User”<\/strong><\/em> to create the new MySQL user.<\/p>\n

3) The next step is to give privileges to the user.<\/strong><\/p>\n

a) Select the privileges you wish to grant the user.<\/p>\n

b) For full privilege click the check box ” <\/strong>ALL PRIVILEGES”.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/em>c) Click “Next Step”<\/strong><\/em> to save the privileges.<\/p>\n

You will get a message stating that the database and user account were successfully set up. The page will also have the following options.<\/p>\n
